Hi All   With no prompting from Dad, Honestly! Lucy has decided that she would like to do an event for ‘Sports Relief’. She didn’t want to do an organised event…..Oh No! Dad has to work for this one J.   Glad to help J   The plan is that Lucy will run 1 mile then jump on her bike and cycle 3 miles.   She felt that running a mile was fairly achievable and felt that she could push herself by adding a cycle section, which in turn might encourage people to donate.....

   Greenfield back to winning ways   Jon Greenfield was back on form and back to his winning ways to become the third different winner of four races in the Ana Leaf Foundation / Guernsey Triathlon winter duathlon series. An excellent effort on Sunday 13 January 2014 saw Sarah Whitchurch complete the Guernsey Triathlon club's season opening Ana Leaf series Duathlon. Using a new racing chair and hand-cycle and assisted by Paul Jackson, Caitlin and Karina Bowie Sarah showed the determination necessary to compete the 2 mile run, 8 mile bike, 2 mile run and complete her first event, despite a minor crash and whilst testing the new racing wheelchair and handcycle in the process for the first time in race conditions...

Please see below from Dave Holmes who used to race for Guernsey and is now involved with our sister Tri club in Jersey. We have a few junior coaches over here looking at doing the BTF Level 1 coaching qualification.  Most likely they will go over to the UK to do it next year but we are looking into whether we could bring a BTF instructor to Jersey.  We did it that way back in 2011 but the BTF required us to have 8 trainee coaches to run the course and we don't have as many this time...
