In addition to the used wetsuits kindly donated to the Club, we also now have purchased 3 ladies and 3 mens brand new Blue Seventy Sprint wetsuits for use by Club Members.  These have been very kindly discounted by Trifitness.  They are available to borrow for races and training sessions and are free to junior members and £10 per week (if available) to Adults. Congratulations to the EI Sturdza sponsored Guernsey Triathlon team in Jersey 2015, you did the Island proud. Team and individual silver medal is a great result, as were all the individual performances. A big thank you to Simon, Mark, Scholsie & Russ for their organisational, mechanical and lubricational knowledge.  The atmosphere, crowds & support were amazing, even the sea is warmer in Jersey!  Hope the tri club van gets a deep clean after a week of abuse.

Travers wins Games Test event  A near record 67 athletes lined up in glorious, summer-like conditions to take part in the Guernsey Triathlon Club’s first race in the Ana Leaf Foundation summer triathlon series. Triathlete Mat Dorrian took a comfortable win in the Ana Leaf Winter Duathlon Series at Pembroke on Sunday to retain last year’s success. The Guernsey Triathlon Club’s fourth and final race of its Ana Leaf Winter Duathlon 2015 series saw 35 individuals take part in the 3 mile run, 20 mile bike and 3 mile run format.  The two lap run took competitors from transition outside the Golf Club, around the back of the tip and then anti clockwise back to transition via Mont Cuet and La Jaonneuse...

Junior endurance athlete triathlete Max Thornton showed all the adult triathletes a clean pair of heels to win the third race in the Ana Leaf winter Duathlon series organised by Guernsey Triathlon Club. The event was held on the popular Reservoir circuit with an opening 2.5 mile cross country run, a fifteen mile two lap hilly bike course followed by a second 2.5 mile run.  Island Games triathlon team member Bob Guilbert played a tactical game in last Sunday’s Guernsey Triathlon Club’s super sprint Duathlon held at Les Ammareurs sponsored by the Ana Leaf Foundation.  Having been out in the front for most of the race he sat on Tim Andrew’s shoulder in the final 1 mile run before making his decisive break for the finish with quarter of a mile to spare.   27 competitors lined up in near calm conditions to take on the super sprint format of a 1 mile...
