Well done everyone on a very windy morning! As Jenny Keeeping said, 3 women competitors in this race last year, 14 this year. 27 competitors last year, 42 this year - I'll let you do the maths!  Anyone with a 0 in the category column, please could you confirm that you are a novice before I start to do the category results for the first two races of the series which will be circulated before the next race. race report to follow soon.

This year's Herm swim will be ON!  Limited to twelve places only. Primary date is 15/7. High tide at 16:01hrs @7.1 Mtr. 18:00 swim start.Back up is 13/8 High @6.8 Mtr start at 17:00 Once again you will need to qualify.  This will mean coming along to do a swim on a Friday AND finishing the Havalet - Fermain - Havalet swim.  I will make sure there are 2 opportunities to do the long one.  You will also need to have a kayaker to provide you with safety cover.  You also...

Sunday morning saw 45 hardy souls’ brave cold and windy conditions in the first of the Ana Leaf Winter Duathlon Series hosted by the Guernsey Triathlon Club at Portelet. Junior Dan Galpin and Laura McCarthy were convincing winners despite competing for Guernsey in the Hampshire Cross Country Championships in Southampton less than 24 hours earlier. Guernsey Triathlon Club Junior Josh Thornton, finished a successful Triathlon season with another fine victory, this time at the Hever Castle Triathlon, the World’s largest Junior Triathlon.  1600 juniors took part and it was the finale of the UK Castle Triathlon Series. Thornton was the fastest out of 204 athletes competing in his top age group and finished the 300 metre swim 8k bike and 4k run in a very credible time of 48 minutes 47 seconds.
